Show up to run wearing whatever looks best in the black light. You'll be greeted at the start line with enough neon lights, glow sticks, and Electronic Dance Music to make your heart beat faster, your fists pump harder, and all your jokes just a little bit funnier.
From there, every corner of the run is another party. You'll run, walk, or dance 3.1 miles through stations of insane light shows, photobooths, neon madness, and electro lasers right up until the finish: the biggest party of all. So bring your camera and put your party hat on; it's time to rage.
Everyone knows the best part of running is when it stops. Naturally, the ElectroDash party only gets bigger at the end. We pump up the Electronic Dance Music and fill the air with neon lights, lasers, and free SWAG for the catching. So get ready to dance, because the finish line is the moment your running shoes become your party shoes.
When God said, "Let there be light", we know he meant black lights, strobe lights, and neon lights. Don't disappoint the Big Guy or yourself: Say yes to miles of neon, music, lasers, and friends/family, and say no to the boring stuff. You'll never regret the choice to party. And you definitely won't regret the ElectroDash5k.
Other than a swelling sense of pride for fighting for your right to party, you'll get an official ElectroDash5k T-shirt, an glow bracelet, glow sunglasses, and other neon garb.
Everywhere! (In the U.S. and Canada.) Visit www.electrodash5k.com
for a list of cities that are currently taking registrations, and other cities coming soon. So stay focused! When we build it, you'll want to come.
It sure does. A portion of the proceeds will go to a charitable organization in each race city. Check your specific race location page for charity details.
Check out the race location page two weeks before the race to download important race info like dates, times, and locations of packet pickup. We will be there ready to check you in, so make sure you've signed the waiver and have all the necessary gear for the race. If not, we've got you covered with merchandise available for purchase onsite.
Wear clothes you want to run, dance, and stay warm in. If that's shorts and a T-shirt, we're cool with that. If that's a tutu and body paint, we're not here to judge. We're just here to party with you. Just keep the weather in mind when you're planning your outfit. No one likes cold bodies on the dance floor. We recommend jackets and other cold-weather gear for temperatures below 50°F.
Feel free to bring your camera, but we'll also have black-lit photo booths set up throughout the course for some great photo-ops with all your neon swag and neon pals.
You can run by yourself or in a group; it doesn't matter to us. Some people will come with friends and some will come to make friends. Either way, you'll enjoy yourself and be surrounded by like-minded party animals.
The race isn't timed, which means there are no prizes - but also no losers - at ElectroDash5k.
From cradle to grave, we don't discriminate. Bring your toddler, bring your grandma, bring yourself. There's no age limit or requirement here.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at ElectroDash. But you're all encouraged to act like animals.
The race is non-refundable, but it is fully transferable to another race or another runner. Please contact us at Info@electrodash5k.com to transfer your bib number to another race location.
If for some reason we can't keep a handle on Mother Nature, we may have to postpone an event due to extreme weather. A make-up race will then be held in its place. If the make-up date doesn't work for you, we can transfer your registration to a different location or for the next time we're in town.
Of course you can, how cool of you to offer. We would love to have you. All volunteers must be at least 16 years old to be compliant with any curfew or child labor laws that may be in effect.
Kids are cool. Children 7 and under may run for free with a paying adult. Kid runners will not get a bib or race SWAG, but they sure can run alongside an adult.
Just click the "Register" tab, and then click on your city of choice. Fill out all the information and BAM! you're good to go!
When you register, click on the "Join Existing Team or Individual" button. If your friends have already registered a team, then type in the team name (every team is unique) and the Team Captain's last name. If your friend registered as an individual and is now looking to make a team with you, type in the team name they created and their last name, and it'll put you on their team.
Rollercoasters, tandem bikes, full pints of ice cream: They're all just a little better when you don't do it alone. In our experience, ElectroDash is no exception. The following are a few ways to invite your friends to join you for this magical night of neon running.
- You can log in to the member area, put your friends' email addresses in the "Invite Friends" box, and we'll send the email for you.
- You can click on the Facebook button after you register to let your friends know what you're up to.
- You can invite them through the Facebook event page for the race you've registered for.
- Call them, or just send a cute text.
During the registration process, there will be a box where you can type in your name to sign the electronic waiver. You can also have the Team Captain send you the electronic waiver to sign, or you can log in to our site with your email and sign the electronic waiver. If you fail on all these options, you can always do it the old-fashioned (and longer) way at packet pickup.
Fix it! You can log in to the member area with your username and password and try to update your information on your own. Or you can click on the "Contact Us" form and shoot us a message. One of our customer service wizards will get back to you ASAP.
When you log in to your account, click the "Edit Personal Information" tab. You can switch teams by clicking "Join A Different Team" and entering the new Team Captain's last name.
We call it a dash to keep it simple. But don't take that to heart. Most will dash, but whether you walk, crawl, slither, stroll, or meander, there is no one right way to skin this cat.
